Don't let this little boy's size fool you, he is a real spit fire! Peanut came to us as an owner surrender. He was used to a nice quite home where only his Mama and an occasional nephew would drop by. He was never socialized with people, and therefore doesn't greet them very nicely or warm up to new people right away. But, once he realizes that you aren't going to hurt him, he is a real velro dog and cuddler! He likes to sleep under the covers cuddling with you and likes to be touching you.

He has lots of foster brothers and sisters and is getting along with them, for the most part. He only displays his agressioon when he thinks his foster mom is in danger from them. Or, he is jealous and doesn't want them close to her. Either way, we are working on behaviour modification!

Peanut will make a great pet. But, it is going to take someone who is willing to continue training him and working on his fear aggression. He also has some separation anxiety issues and has suffered from seizures in the past. More to come on that once we have him seen by our vet. He is scheduled to be neutered on May 15 and that may help his issues some too.

He is a smart boy who should be able to learn how to meet and greet people with some work. His current foster family will be working on that. Are you the one that is Peanut's new fur-ever family? If so, please fill out the adoption form and start the application process!

Special Needs: Will need training to overcome his fear of people and reinforcement training on housebreaking.

Currently we do not know if Peanut II will be able to attend the event, Fall Adoption Expo on Tuesday, November 30th, 2010.
